Last week we learned all about how to be safe. We used our preschool play phone to practice dialing 9-1-1 and talked about what we would do if our houses were on fire. Do all our families have plans in place?

We visited our favorite fire station where the Station 1 men are always so nice to let us visit! Our trip was cut short when they got a call and had to suit up, jump on the engine truck and rush away to help somebody. It was very exciting!
Yesterday we had a real police officer visit our class! Officer Paporello, of Boise City Police came and taught us about never, ever playing with real guns and what to do if we ever have trouble with strangers. Officer Paporello is not only a big, brave policeman, but he is also a daddy! His daughter came to the Green Room Preschool a long time ago.
Officer Arthur brought the K9 unit car and police dog! The dog was very cute and friendly and we got to see how obedient he is to the officer's commands.
What an exciting week!
