Have you heard your child talking about Super Stars? These are VERY IMPORTANT in our preschool world!
Learning to complete a task all the way to the finish, especially a difficult task, takes patience and persistence. This is an important part of development for 3-5 year-olds. Super Stars are a reward for working through a challenging task. This might be a puzzle that is beyond the wooden-block type, or sorting a large set of matching cards or beading a long string. About half of the projects that are on the shelf for playtime are "SuperStar" projects. Sometimes the kids get really into it, and want to earn as many as they can, and other times they prefer to just relax, and work on less-challenging things. Either way, they are learning and having fun!
